Overview

Peek at protein structures without leaving the article you are reading.

ProtPeek is a lightweight protein structure viewer built for reading scientific articles. Open protein structures directly in your browser without leaving the paper you are reading. ProtPeek can detect PDB references on the current page, load structures from the Protein Data Bank, or open local structure files by drag and drop. Features: * Detect PDB IDs in scientific articles * Load protein structures directly from the RCSB Protein Data Bank * Open local PDB, mmCIF/CIF and supported structure files * Rotate, pan and zoom structures smoothly * Explore individual chains * View protein sequences by chain * Identify ligands, cofactors and ions * Select and highlight specific residues * Isolate chains, ligands or residue selections * Simple, minimal interface designed to stay out of the way ProtPeek is designed as a quick structural companion, not a full molecular modelling suite. No account. No analytics. No tracking. Local files are processed locally and are not uploaded.
