Fix your writing without leaving the page. Select a sentence in any text field, press Alt+P, and Proofline opens beside the field with a corrected version — streaming in, word by word. It shows you a word-level redline of exactly what changed. Press Replace and the fixed text lands in the field you were already typing in. No new tab, no pasting, no separate app. Built for people who type fast because they are thinking about something other than the keyboard. It keeps your meaning, your register and your language: whatever you wrote in comes back in the same language. ——————— WHAT IT DOES ——————— · Word-level redline — every insertion and deletion marked, so you approve a change instead of trusting one · Replace in place — the corrected text goes back into the same field, with the same formatting · Five editing profiles — Polish, Light touch, Tighten, Rewrite, Professional — all of them editable, none of them fixed · One-off instructions — type "shorter" or "keep it blunt" and press Enter to re-run · Undo — one press puts your original text back · Works in embedded editors — turn on frame support for editors that live inside an app panel · Per-site blocklist — pages Proofline must never touch · Light and dark, following your system ——————— YOUR KEY, YOUR BILL, NO ACCOUNT ——————— Proofline runs on an API key you supply. There is no subscription and no sign-up, because there is no server on our side to sign up to: your text goes from your browser straight to the provider you chose and back. Nothing reaches the developer — not your text, not your key, not the fact that you ran it. A typical passage costs a fraction of a cent, and you can cap the spend at the provider. ——————— NOTHING ON THE PAGE UNTIL YOU ASK ——————— No floating button, no underlines while you type, and no site access requested at install. Proofline asks for permission to a site the first time you actually use it there, and you can grant a single domain instead of all of them. ——————— WHAT IT CANNOT DO ——————— Google Docs is not supported. Docs draws text on a canvas rather than in a text field, so there is nothing for an extension to read or replace. Everywhere else — webmail, chat and comment boxes, CMS fields, editors inside embedded frames, plain textareas — works.
