Overview

Browse local agent prompts, preview the right agent section, and copy it to the clipboard.

PromptShelf is a small Chrome extension for creating, browsing, and using local prompt libraries. Choose a folder, create a prompt directly in the extension, and save it as a Markdown file. Search your library by title, description, or tag, preview a prompt, and copy the right agent-specific section to your clipboard. PromptShelf supports shared prompts as well as Codex, Claude, and All-agent sections. Keep prompts in plain Markdown files on your machine so your library remains portable, editable, and easy to version with Git. Features: - Create prompts and save new Markdown files into your chosen folder - Choose filenames, with duplicate protection - Browse and search local Markdown prompts - Preview prompt contents before copying - Copy Codex, Claude, or All-agent prompt sections - Edit prompt title, description, tags, and body text - First-run guide with prompt format examples - No account required, cloud sync, or remote prompt storage Save before closing the popup; unsaved drafts are not retained. Do not store passwords, API keys, tokens, or private credentials in prompt files.
