PromptShelf is a small Chrome extension for browsing and using local prompt libraries. Choose a folder of Markdown prompt files, search by title, description, or tag, preview the prompt, and copy the right agent-specific section to your clipboard. PromptShelf supports shared prompts as well as Codex, Claude, and All-agent sections, so you can keep one prompt library while still tailoring instructions for different tools. PromptShelf is designed for people who reuse prompts across coding agents, writing workflows, research tasks, reviews, and planning sessions. It keeps prompts in plain Markdown files on your machine, so your library remains portable, editable, and easy to version with Git.
