PromptPolish checks and improves the prompts you type into AI chat apps, right where you type them, without sending your text anywhere by default. WHAT IT DOES • Live grammar, spelling and clarity underlines in the prompt box, with one-click fixes. Hover or click an underline to see why and to fix it. • Alt+G: fix grammar and spelling in one key press, with Undo. • Alt+T: translate to simple English. Works with Hindi, Gujarati and other languages, written in their own script or typed in English letters (for example "mare ek chrome extension banavvu chhe"). • Alt+U or the Polish button: rewrite your prompt in a professional, concise, friendly or technical tone, with a side-by-side diff before you replace anything. • Optional Elite prompt mode (Alt+E): turn a rough idea into a detailed, specific prompt. • Your code, URLs, file paths, numbers, quotes and {{placeholders}} are protected and never changed. A rewrite that alters them is rejected. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads. • Grammar checking runs locally in your browser. Rewriting and translation use Chrome's built-in on-device AI where your device supports it. • Cloud rewriting is optional, off by default, and uses your own API key from a supported AI provider. Text goes only to the provider you choose, only when you ask for it, and protected content is masked first. • Password fields and login forms are never touched. • IT administrators can disable cloud mode, lock the site list and set a shared dictionary with Chrome enterprise policy. WORKS ON Popular AI chat websites out of the box. You decide where it runs: add or remove sites in Settings, and pause it per site from the toolbar. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Alt+G fix grammar | Alt+T translate to English | Alt+U polish | Alt+Shift+P rewrite panel | Alt+E elite prompt. The first four can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. GOOD TO KNOW On-device rewriting and translation need a supported desktop device and a one-time Chrome model download. Grammar checking works everywhere. Translation of text typed in English letters is best with the optional cloud mode. Always review the result before sending; Undo restores your original.
