Local AI-search prompt research inside ChatGPT: automated grounding runs, captured search queries, and a CSV of tracking prompts.

Prompt Research Buddy runs local AI-search (GEO) prompt research inside ChatGPT, using your own ChatGPT account, end to end. Give it a business name, a website, and (optionally) your keyword research. Press Start and go do something else: 1. It opens ChatGPT in its own tab and runs a rigorous local prompt-research methodology on a thinking model. 2. ChatGPT picks ~5 candidate prompts to test live. Each one runs in a fresh temporary chat while the extension captures the exact web searches ChatGPT performs to answer it verbatim, in order, including local-business lookups and site: operators. 3. Those observed "fan-out" queries are fed back into the research as evidence. 4. You get a full written report (a .docx built by ChatGPT, plus markdown in the panel) and a clean CSV of ~25 tracking prompts ready for your AI visibility tool. A live status line shows what's happening at every step, with pause, resume, and retry. Finished sessions are saved in the panel's history, and you get a chime and a desktop notification when a run completes. GROUNDING TAB • Quick loop: paste up to 10 prompts; each runs once in a fresh temporary chat while its search queries stream into the panel. Copy them or export JSON. • Live capture: just use ChatGPT normally and watch every response's search queries appear in real time, grouped by prompt. WHY THIS MATTERS When ChatGPT answers a local question like "who's the best roofer in Bend?", it fans out into real web searches. Those queries are the closest thing AI search has to keyword data: what it asks, which directories it trusts, and how it evaluates providers. This extension turns that signal into a repeatable research workflow. PRIVACY Runs 100% locally in your browser, inside your own logged-in ChatGPT session. No servers, no API keys, no accounts, no analytics, no data collection. The only network traffic is ChatGPT's own.
