Project Tab Group Restorer is a lightweight Chrome extension that allows users to save and restore groups of open tabs organized by project. Users can assign a custom project name, save all currently open tabs in the active window, and later reopen those tabs with a single click. When saving a project, the extension collects only the URLs of open tabs in the current window and stores them locally using Chrome’s storage system. When restoring a project, the extension reopens the saved URLs in new tabs. The extension does not access page content, monitor browsing behavior, or modify websites. All data is stored locally within the user’s browser and is not transmitted to external servers. The extension does not collect personal information, track user activity, or run background processes beyond user-triggered actions inside the popup. Project Tab Group Restorer is designed to help users manage research sessions, organize workflows, and quickly resume project-related browsing environments in a simple and efficient way.
