ProcrastiBlock is an AI-powered focus assistant that compares your active task to all open browser tabs and classifies them as relevant or distracting. Distracting tabs can be blocked immediately, warned, or given a timed grace period before blocking. All processing happens locally—no accounts, no tracking, no server calls. Automatically maintains a dynamic blocklist based on AI similarity. Three control modes: Blocking, Warning, Timer (grace period). Privacy-first: nothing leaves your machine. Lightweight, no external backend required. Key Features: Local semantic similarity (Transformers.js) for task vs tab titles. Timer Mode: lets you finish or close a distracting tab before enforced block. Warning Mode: gentle nudge instead of hard block. Always-allowed essentials (Google, YouTube) plus custom allowlist. Minimal UI with collapsible tab view and sensitivity slider for strictness tuning. Extension keeps required dashboard tab open silently. How It Works: You enter or activate your current task. Extension injects all open tab titles into the dashboard. Local model produces embeddings and similarity scores. Tabs below the sensitivity threshold become “irrelevant.” Depending on mode: warn, delay+block, or block immediately.
