Overview
The universe ain't giving you signs. They're targeted ads. See who tracks you and block trackers, ads and cookie pop-ups.
Ads follow you because trackers follow you. PrivacyBrew shows who sees your visit to each website, in simple words, and stops them. It blocks known trackers and ads, rejects cookie pop-ups for you, and asks websites not to sell your data. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us. What you get: - A simple report card for each website: trackers, ads, outside scripts, cookies and fingerprinting. Open any card to see the companies and what they do. - Tracker and ad blocking, on by default. Pages often load faster. - Cookie pop-ups answered for you: "Reject all", or only necessary cookies. It never selects "Accept all". - Messages that ask you to turn off your ad blocker are hidden where possible. - A "do not sell or share my data" request (Global Privacy Control) to every website. Do Not Track is optional. - A power button: turn PrivacyBrew off for one website, for a while, or until you turn it on again. Why you can trust it: - No account, no analytics, no ads. - Your browsing data stays in your browser. - Open source (GPLv3): https://github.com/privacybrew/privacybrew-extension Limits: PrivacyBrew finds known trackers and ads only. It cannot block all video ads. If a website breaks, turn PrivacyBrew off for that website. Lists: Disconnect tracker list (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), EasyList. Cookie pop-up rules: DuckDuckGo autoconsent (MPL-2.0). Also from PrivacyBrew: the Android app and the free Browser Privacy Check at https://privacybrew.app
