With a single click, you can blur contact names, profile pictures, last-message previews, the open conversation and its header. Hover over any blurred element to temporarily reveal it — no extra clicks needed. Seven independent toggles: Blur Names — hides contact and group names in the chat list Blur Avatars — blurs profile pictures in the chat list Blur Last Messages — blurs the message preview shown under each chat Blur Unread Counts — blurs the unread-message count badge on each chat Blur Last Message Time — blurs the time, day or date of the last message on each chat Blur Conversation — blurs the messages in the chat you have open Blur Chat Name & Photo — blurs the name, status line and profile picture at the top of the open chat Hover to reveal — move your cursor over any blurred element to see it instantly. Move away and it blurs again automatically. Alt+Shift+P shortcut — turn all blurs on or off at once without opening the popup. The shortcut can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Your settings are remembered — toggle states are saved and synced across your signed-in Chrome browsers. Lightweight and private — blurring is done with CSS inside your browser.
