Seems alright, but leaves annoying placeholders with advertisement written inside them where it blocked the ads (instead of completely eliminating them). PB extension is better than uBlock Lite and Ghostery. But not better than the fully enabled filters with Adguard. Ghostery is updated more frequently than PB. What's not good is how the developer replies to comments with the same scripted response. it consumers a similar amount of browser memory as uBlock Origin (not beta) with all the f... Show more

Privacy Badger is a privacy tool, not an ad blocker. Its aim is not to block ads, but to prevent non-consensual invasions of privacy. If you really dislike ads, install a traditional ad blocker instead of, or in addition to Privacy Badger. Is there a problem with memory use? If there is no problem, why complain? If there is a problem, please email extension-devs@eff.org so we can look into it.

This sounds like a bug in Chrome that we need to discover a fix or a workaround for. In the meantime, it should help to disable Privacy Badger on the site with the problem. To do so, visit the site, click on Privacy Badger's icon in your browser toolbar, and then click on the "Disable for this site" button. We'll be happy to debug this problem together if you email extension-devs@eff.org

I had to disable it. It was messing with other extensions, breaking them up. i.e: Alternate Player for Twitch.tv. Disabling this extension helped me.

Hello! This is due to a bug in Chrome that should be fixed in the next couple of months. UPDATE: I just added a workaround specifically for Alternate Player for Twitch.tv. Once your Privacy Badger receives the update, the two extensions should work well together again, no need to do anything. To get help in the future, email extension-devs@eff.org

I don’t find this extension useful. It still lets a lot of cookies through, especially from main stream media sites. I gave it a try because of all the recent hype around Privacy Badger (lots of clickbait which was a red flag). The annoying "accept all cookie" banners are still there, unlike with other privacy extensions. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are affiliate schemes pushing this extension because there has been a recent surge in its promotion. Uninstalled.

Privacy Badger is made by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit organization that fights for your rights online. To learn more, visit eff.org. I don't know what you mean by "lets a lot of cookies through", or "clickbait", or "affiliate schemes". I would like to help, but the reviews page is not the right place. To get help, email extension-devs@eff.org

Had to disable this thing. I was trying to save photos from my google pictures to my hard drive. Was going crazy. Getting an error message, Your organization has blocked this download. This thing kept blocking these saves and would not allow.

This is a bug in Chrome that may get fixed by Chrome version 128. If you email extension-devs@eff.org and ask for help with a specific extension, we would be happy to help you. The reviews page is not the right place to get help.

what about this : The extension failed to load properly. It might not be able to intercept network request? Version 2024.6.14

This sounds like a Chrome bug that was fixed in the latest versions of Chrome. Visit chrome://extensions and then try toggling Privacy Badger off and then back on. If that doesn't help, uninstalling and then reinstalling should do it. To get help in the future, email extension-devs@eff.org
