Here is exactly what the extension accesses and why: - Active tab content: Pricifly reads the product details on the page you are viewing in order to run a price comparison. It only activates when you open the extension — it does not run in the background on every page you visit. - Checkout field access: On checkout pages, Pricifly reads and interacts with the coupon/promo code input field to test and apply discount codes on your behalf. - Device identifier: A non-personal device token is used solely to prevent abuse of free trial credits. It is not linked to your name, email, or browsing history. - Usage telemetry: Anonymised data about which checkout rules work on which sites is used to improve auto-apply accuracy over time. No personal shopping data is stored or sold. The alarms permission is used to schedule periodic background checks that refresh coupon availability and ensure auto-apply rules stay up to date for supported checkout pages. Alarms fire at low frequency and do not collect or transmit any user data. The scripting permission is required to detect and interact with the coupon/promo code input field on checkout pages of supported retailers. Scripts are injected only on the active tab when the user explicitly triggers the auto-apply feature. No scripts run passively in the background or on pages unrelated to shopping checkout.
