Overview
AliExpress price tracker: the price history we recorded for a listing — lowest, highest, a dated chart. Or that we have none yet.
AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE PriceProven earns money from AliExpress affiliate links. These buttons open AliExpress through our affiliate link, and each one says "affiliate link" where you press it: "Buy on AliExpress"; the photo search ("Choose a photo on this page", "Find similar items by this photo", and the right-click item "Search AliExpress by this image"); the box that searches AliExpress by words; "Open AliExpress" under the promo codes; the AliExpress link on each saved item; the link at the end of a price-drop alert, and, only if you switch it on in Settings, Quick Buy (pressing the toolbar icon). If you press one and later make a qualifying purchase, AliExpress may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra: PriceProven adds no fee to your purchase. Installing the extension changes nothing on AliExpress pages and does not rewrite any link you click yourself. An affiliate link opens only when you press one of these buttons; when you do, AliExpress opens through our affiliate link and records our affiliate tracking for that visit. Details: https://priceproven.com/affiliate-disclosure PriceProven is an AliExpress price tracker. It reads AliExpress prices and keeps a dated record of what it saw. This extension shows you that price history on the listing you are already looking at — including how many days of it there are, so you can judge how much it is worth. WHAT IT SHOWS • The lowest and highest prices we recorded for the listing, and on how many days • A chart of those readings with their dates, and how old the latest one is • The price the page itself shows, quoted beside our record WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not tell you that a price is a good deal. Our record is kept per listing, and one listing can hold several options at different prices. Until a reading can be tied to the option you selected, the extension shows the history, says that it is the listing's, and draws no verdict from it. When the page shows a different price from the one we recorded, it says exactly that. It does not invent a number to fill a gap either. Most AliExpress listings are new to us, and on those the panel says so. There is no chart drawn from a single price, no average of one reading, and no star rating assembled out of nothing. We would rather show you an empty answer than a confident one we cannot support. SAVED LISTINGS AND PRICE DROP ALERTS Save a listing from the panel and it appears in the toolbar window. The list is kept in your browser. Switch on a listing's bell and the extension looks up our record for it again about every six hours while your browser is open, and tells you when the price we record is at least 5% below the one we had recorded when you saved it. Up to 20 listings can be watched. An alert is about the listing, not about one option of it. Items you saved on priceproven.com are listed there too, each with a labelled link that opens it on AliExpress by way of priceproven.com. WHAT IT SENDS, AND WHEN IT ASKS Right after you install it, the extension opens one page of priceproven.com that shows how to use it. That is an ordinary page visit: nothing about the pages you browse is read or sent, and it happens once. On your first AliExpress product page after installing, the extension reads nothing and sends nothing. It shows you a card explaining that to check a product it sends that page's address, its product title and its main image URL to priceproven.com — and waits. Only "Allow & check" starts the lookup, and you can turn it off again at any time from the toolbar icon. The title and image are sent because AliExpress lists the same product under more than one id, so the address alone is not always enough to find our record. That payload is those three fields and nothing more. It is never used for personalized advertising, never sold and never shared. There is no account. An email address is sent only if you type one and ask for the email below. Listings you asked us to watch are looked up with the same three fields. Pictures in your saved list load from AliExpress's own image servers. When you press "See every price we recorded", our own page for that listing opens, and its address ends in ?ref=extension. That tells priceproven.com the visit came from the extension, and nothing about you. SEARCHING ALIEXPRESS BY A PHOTO Away from AliExpress, open the toolbar window, press "Choose a photo on this page" and click a product photo. Or right-click any product image and choose "Search AliExpress by this image · affiliate link". PriceProven takes a picture of that image and hands it to AliExpress's own image search, then opens the results. On an AliExpress listing, the toolbar window has "Find similar items by this photo": the same search, asked about that listing's own main photo. That photo goes to AliExpress. It is not sent to priceproven.com, we never receive it and we do not store it. The first time you use it, the extension asks in the page before anything is captured. The same window has a box to search AliExpress by words. What you type goes to AliExpress when you press Search, and not to us. It finds items that look like the photo. That is not the same thing as the same product, and the extension does not say it is — there is no claim here that anything is cheaper, or that it is the item you were looking at. PROMO CODES The Codes tab shows the AliExpress promo codes listed on priceproven.com, with the country and dates each one is for. Press "Show the codes" to load them: that asks priceproven.com for the list and sends nothing about the page you are on. Copy the one for the country you ship to. The codes are AliExpress's; one can stop working before its end date. QUICK BUY (OFF BY DEFAULT) In Settings you can switch on Quick Buy. While it is on, pressing the PriceProven toolbar icon on an AliExpress product page asks priceproven.com whether a verified AliExpress offer exists for that product and, if one does, opens it through our affiliate link. If none does, it opens PriceProven's price history instead; nothing affiliate is guessed or opened. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again from the icon's right-click menu. ONE EMAIL, IF YOU ASK When a listing is new to us, the toolbar window offers to email you once, when we have recorded enough days to show its price history. Type an address and press "Email me once": that address and the listing are sent to priceproven.com for that one email, which carries a link to stop. Nothing is sent while you type, and the extension does not keep your address. AFFILIATE LINKS The affiliate links are the ones listed in the AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE at the top of this page, and each is labelled "affiliate link" where it appears. If you choose one of them and later make a qualifying purchase, AliExpress may pay us a commission. PriceProven does not add a fee to your purchase. AliExpress handles the destination page and your purchase under its own terms and privacy practices. HOW IT WORKS Once you have allowed it, open any AliExpress product page and the panel appears at the bottom left, clear of the buy column. If we have never seen the listing, we start recording it from that moment. Full record and methodology: https://priceproven.com
