Preview Tester for YouTube (Free)
Overview
Preview a custom thumbnail and title directly on YouTube before you publish.
Preview Tester for YouTube lets you see exactly how a custom thumbnail and title will look – right on the homepage, in real YouTube search results, and in the recommended videos sidebar – before you upload or publish your video. WHY USE IT Judging a thumbnail and title in an image editor never quite matches how it looks next to real competing videos: real fonts, real spacing, dark mode, mobile-width cards. This extension replaces the thumbnail and title of an existing video card right on the live YouTube page, so you can compare different options the same way your future viewers will actually see them. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the extension icon to open the panel 2. Choose your thumbnail image and type your title 3. Click "Enable Click-to-Replace Mode" 4. Click any video card on YouTube - it instantly shows your thumbnail and title in that spot 5. Compare, tweak, repeat PRIVACY This extension works entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, store, or transmit any data anywhere - no analytics, no network requests, no accounts, no tracking. All changes are visual only, exist purely in your local browser tab, and disappear the moment you reload the page. Nothing is ever uploaded to YouTube or any third party. WHO IT'S FOR YouTubers, video editors, and thumbnail designers who want a fast, realistic way to check how a thumbnail and title idea will look before committing to a real upload.
