Overview

Switch YouTube to your preferred signed-in account when the site opens.

Preferred Account for YouTube helps YouTube open with the signed-in account you choose. Choose an account by its position in YouTube's Switch account list, or match part of the visible account text such as a channel handle, channel name, or email fragment. When YouTube opens, the extension uses YouTube's own account menu to switch to that account. This extension does not change your Google default account. It only switches the active YouTube account in the current browser profile. Privacy: - No external network requests. - No data sold or shared. - No passwords, cookies, browsing history, URLs, or video activity are stored. - Account names, emails, and handles read from YouTube are not automatically stored. - If visible text matching is enabled, the text typed by the user is saved locally as a setting. - Settings stay in local browser extension storage.
