WHAT YOU GET WITH A FREE SCRIPTIVOX ACCOUNT • Record a tab with its sound still playing for you: a lecture, a webinar or a call in your browser. Add your microphone to hear both sides. • Keep the video of your recording on your own computer, ready to save when it is done. • Record your screen or a window. On Windows, choose "Share system audio" to include sound from any app. • See how far along it is: the button and the toolbar icon show the recording, sending and transcribing, and the first lines of your text appear when it is ready. • Transcribe this: one click sends the video on the page, or a link you right-click, to Scriptivox. Works with links from social media and cloud storage, and with direct audio or video files. • Captions: on a YouTube video that has captions, the side panel shows them with timestamps you can click to jump in the video. Copy them, or download them as TXT, SRT or VTT. Captions on other video players work too when the page provides them. This uses no limit. • Record your microphone, with a level meter, pause and resume. • Upload audio and video files. • Your library in the side panel: recent transcripts with live status, search, folders and a quick view with speakers and timestamps. PRIVACY • A recording's video stays only on your computer. Scriptivox receives the sound only. • The extension reads a page only when you click it, or on YouTube if you turn on automatic captions. • No ads, nothing sold, and your recordings are never used to train AI models.
