FocusTube is a privacy-first browser extension that helps reduce distracting short-form video and feed surfaces across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Instead of blocking entire websites, FocusTube targets selected areas such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Explore, TikTok feed and video pages, Facebook Reels, and the LinkedIn feed. It can also hide selected navigation buttons, Stories, shelves, and other visual entry points where supported. Settings, timer state, and simple blocked-count statistics use browser-local storage. The extension does not include analytics or telemetry and does not send browsing activity, settings, or statistics to a project-controlled backend.
