Unraveler — Jira Thread Expander
Overview
Automatically expands Jira Cloud issue threads: 'Show more comments', 'Show more replies', and history 'Load more'.
Stop missing replies! Jira Cloud does not let you configure or turn off threaded comments for Jira issues. So then you open an issue but don't notice a random threaded reply in the middle of 100 other replies all in other threads and it's all just a mess. See: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-93678 It runs on its own when an issue loads. A badge on the toolbar button counts the clicks: blue while it is working, green when it finishes, orange if it stops at a safety cap. WHAT IT DOES - Expands collapsed comments and replies - Loads History entries behind "Load more" - Stops when a thread is fully expanded, or at a safety cap you control - Keeps your scroll position, so expanding never loses your place - Leaves your tabs alone: it never switches Jira's History or All tabs for you, so you decide what gets fetched SCROLL TO THE LATEST COMMENT A small floating button sits in the corner of the issue. Click it (or press Alt+Shift+L) and Unraveler jumps straight to the newest comment and highlights it, so you can check for a reply without scrolling through the whole thread again. Choose which corner the button lives in, or turn it off. SHORTCUTS - Alt+Shift+E expand everything on the current page - Alt+Shift+L scroll to and highlight the latest comment Both are remappable at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. SITES Enabled automatically on *.atlassian.net. Jira Cloud also supports custom domains, so if your instance is somewhere else, open the popup on that site and click "Enable here" — it asks for that one origin and nothing wider. CONTROLS Everything is in the popup: - master switch - expand automatically, or only when you ask - comments and replies / History separately - keep scroll position on or off - max clicks and max seconds per run (100 and 90 by default) - floating button corner and highlight duration PRIVACY Everything runs in your browser. No account, no analytics, no network requests, no telemetry. Your settings are stored in Chrome's sync storage on your own Google account; nothing is sent to the developer.
