NordLayer AI Scout shows organisations how their teams use AI tools, and helps keep sensitive data out of them. This extension is for organisations that use NordLayer AI Scout. Your administrator deploys it with Chrome policy or device management and connects it to your organisation's AI Scout workspace. It has no use without an AI Scout subscription. What it does - Records the prompts, assistant replies and tool activity on supported web AI assistants. The current list of supported tools is on the AI Scout website. - Scans each prompt on the device for sensitive data, such as API keys, credentials, credit-card numbers and bank account numbers. - Applies your organisation's policy. A detection can be recorded only, or the extension can warn before sending, replace the matched values with placeholders, or block the prompt. - Sends the records and scan results to your organisation's AI Scout control panel, where admins review them. Data and privacy - The extension captures conversations only on supported AI assistant sites. It stores page addresses without their query string or fragment. - Attachments are recorded as metadata only: file name, type and size. - To attribute records to the right member, it can read the email address of the signed-in browser profile. - Data goes to your organisation's AI Scout workspace. Your organisation's admins control what is stored and for how long. - If the NordLayer AI Scout desktop app runs on the same device, the extension can connect to it.
