Ask any AI for a PowerShell script and you usually get Write-Host where objects belong, no -WhatIf, no pipeline support, and a one-line help block. It runs, but it is not something you would want to inherit. PowerShell Engineer fixes that by construction. Instead of a blank chat box, you get task-shaped forms: pick "new script", "scaffold a module", "refactor", or "diagnose an error", set your PowerShell version, target OS, and a few options, and the extension assembles a full prompt that carries the relevant sections of the PowerShell Engineer Standard as its preamble. A live preview shows exactly what will be sent. One click drops it into the AI chat you selected and submits it. It also adds a one-click Validation prompt that has the AI review its own previous answer against the Standard and mark every change it makes. No account, no API key, no backend, no telemetry.
