Potlane
Overview
Parallel MCP lanes for Penpot, under one user account.
Potlane gives every AI agent its own Penpot browser lane while all agents share one signed-in Penpot account. The extension creates and owns dedicated tabs, opens the official Penpot MCP plugin, keeps each lane bound to its private routing token, and displays live connection and activity status in a Chrome side panel. Use Potlane with the local potlane npm gateway and any MCP-capable orchestrator. Calls are serialized inside one lane and can run concurrently across different lanes. If a mutation has an ambiguous outcome, Potlane quarantines that lane instead of retrying work that may already have changed the design. The side panel can safely delete one idle lane or all idle lanes after confirmation. Closing one managed tab also records cleanup intent, while full-window closure preserves lanes for browser session restore. Busy, in-flight, uncertain, and recovering lanes are never deleted automatically. Potlane is local-first and open source. It has no developer-operated backend, telemetry, ads, or analytics. It is an unofficial community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Penpot or Kaleidos. Setup and source: https://github.com/webcredo/potlane
