PostZapper
Overview
Less noise on X. Ink unwanted posts, peek whenever you like, and keep the ones you want. Private, local and yours to control.
PostZapper puts a layer of ink over posts on X that you'd rather skip. You choose the filters. Matching posts are covered on your screen, not deleted, hidden from anyone else or reported, and every cover can be undone. WHAT IT DOES • Covers posts that match the filters you switch on: engagement bait, reply and repost games, keyword-to-DM funnels, sales and crypto plugs, hype wording and more. 47 premade filters, plus your own. • Covers words and images separately, so you can uncover just the part you want. • Peek: hold to look underneath. Let go and the ink comes back. • Keep visible: restores that text or image and remembers your choice for it. It doesn't change your filters. • Your own wording rules: add phrases you'd rather not see. • Trust accounts whose posts should always stay readable. • Recent: see what was covered lately and which filter matched, and restore anything with Keep visible. • Radar: find wording repeated in up to 500 public text posts visible while X is in the foreground and filtering is on. It keeps short post text, public handles, post identifiers and when you saw them locally. You choose whether to save a rule. • Pick an ink colour for each filter, and pause filtering any time. SEVEN ZAPPERS Every filter is available from day one. Zappers are cosmetic: they change how the ink looks, never what gets filtered. • Ink Blaster: ready at install • Tesla Zapper: unlocks after 10 different posts zapped • Retro Ray: 50 posts • Gold Rush: 150 posts • Super Squirter: 300 posts • Night Ops: 500 posts • Laser Blaster: bonus at 500 posts Each unlock shows its zapper and effect. Choose “Try new zapper” to switch it onto your feed, or keep your current one. Progress is counted on your computer. No purchase or account needed. Sound is optional and starts off. PRIVATE AND LOCAL • No account, sign-up, API key or AI model to set up. • Filtering runs in your browser. PostZapper makes no network requests and has no analytics. • Settings, rules, public handles, short post excerpts, post identifiers and filtering activity are saved in Chrome extension storage on this computer. Recent retains up to 150 entries; Radar retains up to 500 visible posts. • Clear activity history removes Recent, Radar, tallies and suggestion history while preserving filters, manual choices and unlock progress. Delete all local data also resets those choices and unlocks. • Permissions: storage, plus access to x.com and twitter.com to read and cover posts there. It does nothing on your X messages or settings pages. GOOD TO KNOW • PostZapper uses wording and context rules. It will miss some posts and sometimes cover one you wanted. "Why hidden?" shows what matched, and Peek and Keep visible are always one click away. • The optional AI Slop filters look for wording, declarations and X's own labels. They don't analyse image or video pixels and can't prove a post was made with AI. Both start off. • Works in desktop Chrome 111 or later, on x.com and twitter.com. PostZapper is an independent extension. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp.
