PostSiete Lens — Repurpose Any Page into Social Posts
Overview
Real counts (CJK + emoji), thread splitter, fold, readability and P.S. checks, plus one-click capture of any page or post.
PostSiete Lens gives you seven writing tools that need no account, and refuses to do the one thing you would expect an extension like this to do. CORRECT CHARACTER COUNTS, EVERYWHERE YOU WRITE X does not count characters the way you think it does. Emoji and Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters cost two units each, and a link costs a flat 23 however long it is. So 150 Japanese characters is 300 to X — over the limit — while the counter in front of you says 150 and lets you hit Post. Lens shows the real number, weighted the way the platform actually charges, in any composer on X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram and Facebook. It also shows whether you are in the range where posts actually perform, not just whether you are under the ceiling. A THREAD SPLITTER THAT COUNTS PROPERLY Paste the long version, get parts that each fit — numbering included in the count, never appended afterwards to push every part six characters over. It never cuts inside a link or inside a character, and it prefers to break at the end of a sentence. THE FOLD LinkedIn hides everything past about 210 characters behind "…more". Instagram cuts at 125. Nothing shows you where that line falls until after you publish. Lens marks it, and warns you when your first sentence is the thing being cut. EVERY PLATFORM AT ONCE Paste a draft into the toolbar popup and see where it fits, where it gets truncated, and how much would have to go — for all five platforms in one strip, sorted so the tightest limit is first. THE P.S. — YOUR LAST LINE Nothing measures the end of a post, which is why so many of them end in a pile of hashtags. That is the position a reader is most likely to land on, spent on decoration. Lens tells you when your last line trails off, repeats your opener, is buried inside a paragraph, or is nothing but tags. It never rewrites it. READABILITY, AND THE SENTENCE THAT RAN AWAY A reading-ease score on your own draft, plus the specific sentence that got too long. It stays quiet on short drafts and on non-Latin text, where the score would be a confident number that means nothing. ALT TEXT AND INVISIBLE CHARACTERS Attached an image? A quiet nudge to describe it. Pasted from a word processor? Lens tells you about the smart quotes, non-breaking spaces and zero-width characters that came with it — and changes nothing, because some of them are deliberate. WITH A FREE POSTSIETE ACCOUNT Everything above works signed out, forever. Connect a free account and three more switch on: see what you have scheduled without leaving the page, stash a draft you are not ready to post, and check whether what you are writing still sounds like you. That last one is worth a sentence on how it works. Your draft is NOT sent anywhere. PostSiete sends nine numbers describing your writing style, and the comparison happens inside your browser. The words stay on your machine. TURN ANY PAGE INTO POSTS Reading something worth sharing? Click the toolbar icon and Lens pulls the readable text — an article, a YouTube transcript, an arXiv paper, a social post — into PostSiete, which adapts it into native drafts for each platform. Or select any passage, right-click, and repurpose just that. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO Lens never posts for you. It never fills a composer, clicks a button, or touches your accounts. Extensions that automate a logged-in session violate the platforms' terms and get their users' accounts banned — so publishing happens on postsiete.com, through the official APIs, with your explicit action. It reads. That is the whole design. PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY Lens reads the page you are on only when you ask it to, by clicking the toolbar icon or the right-click menu. It does not run in the background on other sites. The character counter runs on the five social sites listed above, because that is where composers are. Generating drafts requires a free PostSiete account. The counter does not.
