Save any X post or Article as a clean Markdown file, with images, in one click.

Postdown adds a Save button to every post on x.com. One click turns a post — or an entire long-form Article — into a clean Markdown file you can keep forever. WHAT YOU CAN SAVE • Short and long posts — full text, author, date, link and images • Long-form Articles — the complete body: headings, lists, quotes and inline images • Quoted posts — included as a Markdown blockquote • Threads — the whole chain of an author's posts, saved as one note HOW IT WORKS Click Save under any post. Postdown builds a clean Markdown file and downloads it into its own folder, together with the images, using relative links. Drag that folder into your Obsidian vault (or any notes app) and everything just works — no attachment juggling, no broken links. For long posts and Articles, open the post first so the full text is on screen, then click Save. PRIVACY Postdown collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Files are saved locally on your computer. It reads the page you are viewing and fetches the post's public data from the site's own embed endpoint solely to build the Markdown file. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.
