Popmelon – Watch Party & Listen Together

Host watch parties: sync Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and more, share any tab or screen, and talk with voice and video chat.

Popmelon is a free watch party extension for your browser. Watch together on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Twitch with playback in sync, listen together on Spotify Web Player, or share any tab or screen, then chat, react and talk with voice and video in one room. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add Popmelon and pin it to your toolbar. 2. Click the Popmelon icon, sign in with Google and start a party. You don't need to pick anything yet; you get one link. 3. Send the link. Friends add Popmelon and sign in too, then open the link to join your room. 4. Pick what to play from the room. When anyone plays, pauses or skips, everyone follows. The host can choose "Only you" in the room's Settings. WHAT YOU GET • Playback in sync: everyone follows the host and catches up after their own buffering or ads. • One link all night: the host can switch videos, songs or services, and nobody needs a new link. • Chat and emoji reactions on the watch page, plus a room page that keeps the conversation going between titles. • Voice and video chat: join the call in the party room before anything plays, like a meeting, and stay in it when the episode or video changes. Talk with free voice chat or turn on your camera; your microphone and camera stay off until you turn them on. • Shared remote: anyone in the party can play, pause, skip or change what's playing, and everyone sees who did it. The host can switch this to "Only you", hand the host role to someone else, or accept someone's request for it. • Optional screen sharing: the host can share a tab, a window or the whole desktop, with sound when available, through the browser's own picker. Only what you pick goes out. • You stay in control: leave at any time. If the host closes the watch tab, Popmelon closes only the tabs it opened, never anyone's other tabs. Updates wait until you leave the room. WORKS IN Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and other Chromium-based browsers on desktop, version 116 or newer. In Edge, click "Allow extensions from other stores" if asked. GOOD TO KNOW • Desktop only for now: not on phones, tablets, TVs, Safari or Firefox. • Everyone in the room needs Popmelon and their own access to what you play. Subscriptions, ads, plan limits and regional restrictions still apply. Popmelon does not provide or unlock content. • Automatic sync works on the services above (https://popmelon.app/help#services). Prime Video and Twitch are in beta. On Twitch, past broadcasts and videos sync; live streams don't. For any other site, use screen sharing. • Protected (DRM) content may appear black in a broadcast. Popmelon does not bypass DRM. • The call runs in the party room tab: keep that tab open to stay in the call. • Popmelon is free to use. Streaming and music subscriptions are not included. PRIVACY Voice, video and shared tabs are forwarded live and never recorded. Popmelon sends playback, chat and the title playing to its relay only while you are in a room, and nothing from your other tabs unless you choose to share one. To fix sync problems and investigate abuse, it keeps chat, what was played and IP addresses for 30 days, and party records for 12 months. You sign in with Google to start or join a party; accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Popmelon does not sell your data or use it for advertising.
