Pop-Ups for X (Tweets)

Read X posts and replies in a compact popup without leaving your current page.

Read an X post and its replies in a compact Chrome window while keeping your place in the main page. The popup uses X's own post page and hides the left navigation and right sidebar. Right-click a post on x.com or twitter.com and choose **Open in popup**. You can also choose a direct shortcut from the extension's toolbar icon: **Ctrl + right-click** or **Left click**. The choice is offered on first install and can be changed later. The regular right-click menu remains available in either mode. In Left click mode, clicking post text or open space opens the popup. Photos, videos, profile links, other links, and post controls keep their normal X behavior. Quoted posts can open directly in the popup, including quote cards that do not expose a separate post link. The main page is dimmed and its playing media is paused while the popup is open. Press **Esc**, click the dimmed page, or focus another Chrome window to close the popup and return to the page. No post text, account details, or usage data is sent to the extension developer. There are no ads or analytics. This independent extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by X.
