The question, timer, live results and leaderboard appear on your own slides, drawn in your deck's design. WHAT YOU CAN ADD - Quiz questions. One right answer, or several. - True or false. - Type the answer. - Polls. - Word cloud. - Open answers, shown as cards on the slide. - Guess the number. The closest guess wins. - Put in order. Players rank the items, and you can score the round against the right order. - A join slide with a QR code. - A leaderboard, and a podium for the final round. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Pop Quiz and open your deck in Google Slides. 2. Select a slide. In the side panel, choose what it does: a question, a poll, a join screen or a leaderboard. 3. Press Slideshow. Players scan the QR code, type a nickname and play on their phones. You build the quiz in the deck you already have. Fill a question from the slide's title, or paste a whole quiz at once: ask any AI assistant for a quiz "in Pop Quiz format" and paste the reply (popquiz.fun/quiz-format). PRIVACY - Your quizzes and settings are saved on your own computer, in Chrome. - Pop Quiz works only on Google Slides pages (docs.google.com/presentation). It reads the open deck's slide ids, the position of shapes and the text in them, to fill a question from a slide and to place the quiz on your slide. It does not read your other Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail or browsing history. - It does not change your deck, apart from hiding the placeholder shape the quiz sits on during the slideshow. - During a game, the question, answer options, timer and results travel from your browser through Pop Quiz's relay to players' phones. Players send back a nickname and their answers. The relay passes messages on and stores nothing. - A safety copy of each deck's quiz is saved to your Downloads folder, in a folder called Pop Quiz. You can import it back. - No accounts. No ads. No analytics or tracking in the extension. Nothing is sold. - The first time you use it, Pop Quiz tells you what goes through the relay and asks you to press "Agree and start". - Pop Quiz is not directed at children.
