Pop Out Video — Picture in Picture
Overview
Pop the playing video into a floating, always-on-top window with one click or Alt+P. Native Picture-in-Picture. No tracking.
Pop Out Video puts the video you're watching into a floating, always-on-top Picture-in-Picture window so you can keep watching while you work in other tabs and apps. Click the toolbar icon or press Alt+P — the playing video pops out. Click again to send it back. WHAT IT DOES • One click (or Alt+P) toggles Picture-in-Picture for the active video. • Works on standard HTML5 players everywhere — including Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Vimeo and course/corporate players. • Automatically picks the most relevant video on the page (the one that's actually playing). • The floating window is the browser's own native Picture-in-Picture — smooth, resizable, and always on top. WHY POP OUT VIDEO IS DIFFERENT • It calls the standard Picture-in-Picture API correctly, on a real click. There are no per-site hacks to break, so it keeps working after sites update. • Minimal access: it acts only when you click the icon or press Alt+P — it never runs in the background and has no standing access to any site. • No tracking, no account, no ads, no network calls of your data. Some well-known Picture-in-Picture extensions have stopped working on Netflix and Disney+ and are no longer maintained. Pop Out Video fixes that by doing the simplest correct thing: the native API, on your gesture, and nothing else. Press Alt+P. Keep watching.
