Poof
Overview
Inspect any page element, build a selector visually, and hide the matches — with live match counts.
Poof hides the parts of a page you don't want to see — and shows you exactly what you're hiding before you commit. Point at any element and Poof builds a CSS selector that targets it. A live counter tells you how many things on the page that selector matches, so you can tighten it until it catches exactly what you mean — no more, no less. Hit hide, and the matches are gone. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Click any element to generate a selector for it, then refine it by hand. • See a live count of every element a selector matches, highlighted in place. • Hide matches by removing them from the page (display:none) or fading them out (opacity:0) — your choice, per rule. • Hide by text: target elements that contain a specific phrase, with whole-word or substring matching. • Save rules per website. They re-apply automatically every time you return — no need to redo your work. • Review and remove rules any time from the options page, which lists every site you've tuned. PRIVACY FIRST Poof has no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server. It makes no network requests. Your rules and settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device. Read the full policy at https://browser.supplies/poof/privacy HOW IT WORKS Poof lives in a side panel. Open it from the toolbar, inspect the page, build your selector, and watch the match count update as you go. Everything happens on your machine, in your browser. Made by Browser Supplies — small, single-purpose extensions. One job each, no accounts, nothing on the wire.
