Overview

Block distracting websites while a Pomodoro focus session runs. Free, and no account needed.

Block distracting websites only while you focus. PomoTodo Focus pairs a Pomodoro timer with a website blocker: start a session, and YouTube, Reddit, X or whatever pulls you away stays closed until your break. Free. No account. No ads. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the sites that eat your time. Choose from ready-made groups (social, video, news, shopping) or add your own. 2. Start a focus session from the toolbar. 25/5 is the classic Pomodoro, or pick 50/10, 52/17, 90/20 or your own rhythm. 3. Open a blocked site and you land on a calm "Back to focus" page showing the time left and what you said you were working on. 4. When your break starts, your sites open again. Nothing to switch off or undo. BLOCK ONLY THE PART THAT HOOKS YOU • Block YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels and keep the rest of YouTube and Instagram open • Block a whole site or just one section, like reddit.com/r/all • Keep a separate "always" list for sites you want gone all the time, focus session or not STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY • A countdown on the toolbar icon, a soft chime and a desktop notification when a session or break ends • Breaks start on their own, with a longer break after every fourth session • Tabs already open on a blocked site switch to the focus page the moment a session starts • Need a site for real? Take 5 more minutes, then it's blocked again STRICT MODE FOR HARD DAYS Turn it on and a running session can't be paused, stopped or skipped, and blocked sites can't be removed until it ends (3 hours at most). It won't stop you from turning the extension off in Chrome's settings, but it takes away every easy way out. SEE YOUR FOCUS • Today's sessions, focus time and blocked visits right in the popup • A 14 day chart and the sites that tried hardest to pull you away • Export your sessions as a CSV file PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your block lists and focus history stay in your browser. Nothing about the sites you visit is sent anywhere. • Chrome asks before PomoTodo Focus can show its page on a site, one site at a time. Say no and the site is still blocked; Chrome just shows its own error page instead. • With Chrome sync on, your lists and settings follow you to your other computers. MADE FOR Students studying for exams, writers, developers, freelancers billing by the hour, and anyone who opens YouTube without meaning to. FROM POMOTODO PomoTodo Focus is made by PomoTodo (pomotodo.net), the Pomodoro timer, task manager and time tracker for freelancers. SYNC WITH POMOTODO (OPTIONAL) Connect a free PomoTodo account to keep every focus session from every computer in one dashboard, grow a plant garden as your sessions add up, and focus on tasks from your projects. On PomoTodo Pro, that focus time shows up as billable hours in your timesheets and invoices.
