PolyPulse - Portfolio Analytics & Backtest for Polymarket
Overview
Track P&L, win rate & backtest your Polymarket trades
Stop trading blind on Polymarket. Start seeing what your decisions actually cost you. You placed 50 trades last month. Some hit. Some didn't. But here's the real question - how much money did you leave on the table? Did your active trading actually beat just holding to resolution? You don't know. Nobody does, because Polymarket doesn't show you. That's the gap. You're making real-money decisions on prediction markets with zero performance analytics and no way to test whether your instincts actually work. WHY TRACKING POLYMARKET PERFORMANCE IS SO HARD Polymarket gives you a portfolio page. It shows your current positions. That's about it. What it doesn't give you: - Historical P&L tracking across all your closed trades - Win rate and ROI calculations - How your active trading compares to simply holding - Whether your timing actually adds value or destroys it - A way to test strategies before risking real money Most traders end up with spreadsheets. Or they just... don't track. They remember the wins, forget the losses, and keep repeating the same mistakes. PolyPulse fixes this by pulling your complete trading history directly from Polymarket's API and turning it into actionable analytics - right in your browser's side panel. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES PolyPulse is a portfolio analytics and strategy backtesting tool for Polymarket traders. It runs as a Chrome Side Panel alongside Polymarket, giving you a persistent dashboard without leaving the page. No spreadsheets. No manual data entry. No external websites. Here's what you get: Performance Dashboard - Your total realized P&L, unrealized P&L, win rate, ROI percentage, and win/loss ratio at a glance. Updated every 5 minutes automatically. Position Tracker - All your open positions with current size, average entry price, and unrealized P&L per market. Trade History - Complete list of closed trades, filterable by wins and losses. See exactly which markets made money and which didn't. Equity Curve - Visual chart of your cumulative P&L over time. Spot trends, drawdowns, and recovery patterns instantly. Backtest: vs Optimal - The signature feature. For each closed position, PolyPulse fetches the full price history and calculates three things: your actual P&L, what you would have made holding to resolution, and the theoretical maximum (buying the low, selling the high). Shows your Capture Rate - the percentage of available profit you actually captured. Backtest: What-If - Pick any closed trade and drag sliders to simulate different entry and exit prices. See instantly how much more (or less) you would have made with different timing. Backtest: Strategy Tester - Define simple rules (buy below X cents, sell above Y cents) and run them against real closed markets from Polymarket - including markets that resolved NO. No survivorship bias. See total P&L, win rate, max drawdown, and average profit per trade. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension 2. Click the PolyPulse icon to open the side panel 3. Enter your Polymarket wallet address (or visit polymarket.com to auto-detect it) 4. Your complete trading history loads automatically That's it. Your dashboard updates every 5 minutes. Switch between tabs to see positions, history, charts, and backtests. WHY A SIDE PANEL Popup windows disappear the moment you click away. For a trading analytics tool, that's useless - you need to reference your data while browsing markets. The side panel stays open alongside Polymarket. Browse new markets on the left, check your performance on the right. No switching tabs, no losing context. It also gives more vertical space for charts and position lists than a cramped 400px popup ever could. ADDITIONAL FEATURES CSV Export Download your complete trade history as a CSV file. Columns include market name, P&L, total bought, average price, and date. Import into Google Sheets or Excel for further analysis. All data stored locally in your browser. Nothing uploaded anywhere. Theme Toggle Switch between light mode (blue and white) and dark mode (blue and black) with one click. Your preference is saved automatically. Auto-Refresh Position data refreshes every 5 minutes in the background. No manual refresh needed. You can also force a refresh from the Settings tab. Multi-Wallet Support Change wallet addresses anytime in Settings. Useful if you trade from multiple accounts or want to analyze other public wallets on the leaderboard. REAL SCENARIOS WHERE THIS HELPS The "Am I Actually Good" Check: You've been trading Polymarket for 3 months and feel like you're profitable. Open PolyPulse, look at your Capture Rate. It says 35%. That means you're only capturing a third of the available profit on your trades. Now you know where to improve. Strategy Validation Before Risking Money: You have a theory - buy any crypto market below 30 cents, sell above 70 cents. Before putting $1000 on it, run it through the Strategy Tester on 50 real closed markets. It shows 62% win rate but -$45 average P&L on losses. Maybe adjust the exit threshold. The "Should I Have Just Held" Question: Your vs Hold number is negative. That means your active trading - all those carefully timed entries and exits - actually performed worse than buying once and waiting for resolution. Time to reconsider your approach. Post-Mortem on a Bad Week: You lost $500 this week. Filter History by losses, look at the What-If for each one. Two trades would have been profitable if you'd held 2 more days instead of panic-selling. Pattern identified. Analyzing Top Traders: Paste any public wallet address from the Polymarket leaderboard. See their Capture Rate, win rate, and whether they beat the hold strategy. Learn from the data, not from Twitter threads. New Market Sizing: You want to enter a new market at 40 cents. Use What-If to model: if it goes to 80 cents, what's your P&L on a $200 position? What if it drops to 20 cents first and you average down? WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - Does not access your Polymarket account or wallet keys - Does not place trades or modify positions on your behalf - Does not send your data to any external server The only permissions it uses: - storage / unlimitedStorage - Saves your trading history and settings locally in Chrome. Unlimited storage needed because trade history grows over time. - alarms - Triggers automatic data refresh every 5 minutes. - sidePanel - Displays the analytics dashboard in Chrome's side panel. - Host access (polymarket.com) - Content script detects your wallet address from the page to auto-connect. All data stays on your machine. The only network requests go to Polymarket's own public API to fetch your positions and price history. FREE TO USE All features are currently free with no limits. Dashboard, positions, history, charts, and all three backtest modes - fully available. THE MATH BEHIND CAPTURE RATE Capture Rate = (Your Actual P&L / Theoretical Maximum P&L) x 100 Theoretical Maximum = buying at the lowest price the market ever traded at, selling at the highest price before resolution. No one achieves 100%. A Capture Rate above 50% means your timing is genuinely adding value. Below 30% suggests you might be better off with a simpler hold strategy. vs Hold P&L = (shares x resolution price) - (shares x your average entry price) If your active P&L beats vs Hold, your trading decisions are adding value. If not, you're paying a complexity tax. WHO THIS IS FOR - Active Polymarket traders who want to know if their strategies actually work - Data-driven bettors who track performance across prediction markets - Strategy developers who want to backtest ideas before risking capital - Curious traders who want to analyze top leaderboard wallets - Anyone tired of guessing whether they're actually profitable GETTING STARTED Install PolyPulse, click the icon, enter your wallet address. Your full trading analytics load in seconds. No account needed. No sign-up. No API keys. Just your public wallet address.
