Overview

Organize your ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity chats into folders, and reuse the same prompt library across all of them.

PolyPrompt is the prompt library that works EVERYWHERE you use AI. Most power users juggle 3–4 LLMs daily: ChatGPT for general questions, Claude for code, Gemini for grounded research, Perplexity for sourced answers. The problem: each one is its own walled garden. Your saved prompts on ChatGPT can't be used on Claude. Your folders on Claude don't show on Gemini. PolyPrompt fixes that. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ WHAT IT DOES 📁 ONE PROMPT LIBRARY ACROSS EVERY LLM Save a prompt once. Use it on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. One click pushes it straight into the chat input. 🗂️ FOLDERS TO ORGANIZE YOUR PROMPTS Group prompts by purpose: "Code Review", "Email Templates", "Research", "Translation". Folders sync across all four sites. 🔍 SEARCH EVERYTHING Fuzzy search across folder names, prompt titles, and prompt bodies. Find that prompt you wrote three weeks ago in two keystrokes. ⚡ INJECTED PANEL ON EVERY SITE A subtle, collapsible panel appears in the bottom-right of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Click to expand, browse, or insert. Click again to collapse. 💾 100% LOCAL STORAGE Your prompts never leave your machine. No accounts. No servers. No analytics. No tracking. Zero. (See full privacy policy on GitHub.) 🆓 FREE The full extension is free and MIT-licensed. A cloud-sync Pro tier is on the roadmap but the free tier will always work. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ WHY POLYPROMPT INSTEAD OF EASY FOLDERS / SIMILAR TOOLS Existing extensions organize ChatGPT alone (or ChatGPT + Claude at most). If you also use Gemini and Perplexity, you're back to copy-paste. PolyPrompt is the only tool we know of that treats all four as one workspace. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon to manage your folders and prompts in a full UI. 2. Or, open any of the four supported LLMs — a PolyPrompt panel appears in the bottom-right corner. 3. Create a folder ("Bug Reports", "Marketing Copy", whatever). 4. Save prompts you reuse a lot ("Rewrite this in plain English", "Generate three alternative subject lines", "Translate keeping technical terms in original language"). 5. On any LLM site, expand the panel, find the prompt, click "Insert" → it's in the input field. Send. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ PERMISSIONS - `storage`: stores your folders and prompts locally on your device. - `scripting` + `activeTab`: required to insert prompts into the active LLM page. - Host permissions for `chatgpt.com`, `claude.ai`, `gemini.google.com`, `www.perplexity.ai`: the panel only appears on these four sites. PolyPrompt has no other access to any data and makes no network calls of any kind. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ COMING SOON • v0.2 — drag-and-drop chats into folders (full chat organization, not just prompts) • v0.2 — more LLMs: Poe, Mistral, Grok, Kimi • Pro tier — opt-in cloud sync, team-shared libraries, prompt-variable templating ═══════════════════════════════════════════ OPEN SOURCE Source code at github.com/Rouhaiseki/polyprompt — MIT-licensed. Issues, PRs, and new-LLM adapters very welcome. Built because we couldn't find anything that did this and it took less than a weekend to ship the first version. Hope it saves you the same amount of time.
