WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES PolyLens scans visible tweet text on X for a curated list of market-related topics such as Bitcoin, Trump, inflation, OpenAI, Fed, and major sports terms. When a tweet matches one or more tracked topics: - A small `PM` button appears next to the tweet action menu - Clicking the button opens an in-page drawer inside the current X tab - The drawer shows the most relevant active binary Polymarket markets - Each market card includes: - Market question - Yes and No odds - Trading volume - Expiry date - One-click link to open the market on Polymarket The drawer also shows the tweet text and the matched keyword terms so the user can understand why those markets were selected. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install PolyLens. 2. Open X.com or Twitter.com. 3. Scroll normally. 4. When a visible tweet matches a tracked topic, a `PM` button appears next to the tweet menu. 5. Click the button to open the drawer with matching Polymarket markets. That is the entire workflow. WHY AN IN-PAGE DRAWER Prediction-market context is useful, but inline hover cards can feel noisy on a dense timeline. PolyLens uses a slide-over drawer so the X timeline stays readable. The tweet remains untouched. The market context appears in a stable panel inside the same page, so the user can read the results and keep scrolling without switching tabs. DATA SOURCES PolyLens uses Polymarket's public Gamma API to fetch market search results. The extension caches search results locally for a short period and applies lightweight rate limiting to avoid excessive API requests while scrolling. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not access DMs, drafts, or private account data - It does not publish content to X - It does not click, follow, like, retweet, or reply on the user's behalf - It does not connect to a wallet - It does not execute trades - It does not use any remote AI or server-side tweet analysis PERMISSIONS USED - `storage` Saves the enable/disable toggle and click stats locally. - Host permission for `https://gamma-api.polymarket.com/*` Fetches public Polymarket market data. PRIVACY PolyLens processes tweet matching locally inside the browser. The extension reads only visible tweet text from the page in order to match tracked topics. It does not send tweet text to any remote server. The only external network requests are public market-data requests to Polymarket's Gamma API.
