PolyglotSelect shows the text you select on any webpage in up to 4 languages at the same time — instantly. Select any text and PolyglotSelect automatically detects the source language and translates it into up to 4 target languages at once, side by side. No copy-pasting into another tab, no switching windows. This feature is still under development. In the "When to translate on selection" setting, choosing "Automatic" translates everything you select right away, which can quickly use up your daily translation quota. We recommend "Hold Shift" instead — it only translates when you hold Shift while selecting. "Hold Ctrl" works the same way, and the "Show a translation button" option only translates when you click the button — both save your quota just as effectively. PRIVACY PolyglotSelect only sends the text you select to the services you choose: your translation service, your text-to-speech service (when you use an online voice; offline device voices send nothing), and the dictionary service (when you look up a word). No browsing history is collected or stored. Recent translations and audio are cached only in your browser's temporary memory and are cleared when you close the browser.
