Toggle Zen Mode off when you are done — the page returns to normal. That is the whole flow. The extension is off by default and only does anything when you turn it on. WHY LANGUAGE INSTEAD OF BLOCKING The standard productivity playbook is to block the site. That works for Twitter. It does not work when you actually need to place a trade on Polymarket. PolyFocus keeps the page fully functional. The layout, the charts, the buttons, the order form — all of it is untouched. Only the emotionally loaded text is rewritten and only the sensitive numbers are softened. You can make every trade you already planned to make; you just will not be nudged into the ones you did not. DETAILS THAT MATTER Alt peek is timing-safe. The moment you release Alt the page snaps back. If the browser loses focus, peek ends automatically. The blur targets an element by its own direct text, not the entire subtree. A single "$12,500" deep inside a card will blur only the card, not the whole market grid. The page stays readable. The yellow edge marker uses a 2px inset underline. It does not add padding or change layout, so it never clips inside narrow market cards and never reflows the page. Text rewriting watches for React re-renders. When Polymarket updates a price or swaps a component, PolyFocus re-applies the swap on the next frame. Without Zen Mode, the first twenty minutes turn into scrolling odds tickers. The only permissions it uses: - activeTab — so the content script can run on polymarket.com tabs when you visit them. - storage — so your Zen Mode on/off preference is remembered between sessions. That is the full permission list. There is no tabs permission, no host_permissions beyond polymarket.com, and no background network activity.
