Poly Cube docks your Poly AI assistant into the browser. CHAT WITH PAGE CONTEXT — ask about the page you're reading; the assistant reads the page only when you ask it something. The floating cube and the right-click "Ask Poly" entry put it one gesture away on any site. Replies can be read aloud — with Poly's cloud voice when signed in, falling back to your browser's built-in voice. ON-DEVICE AI (optional — Chromium, off by default) — on-device page summaries, call notes, and the selection bar's Explain / Translate / Rewrite answers. When enabled, the summary — not the raw page text — is what your assistant receives, and a selection's quick action answers in the page (marked "Answered on this device"); turn it off to always send the page text. RESEARCH — launch a Poly research run about the current page and watch its status live; get notified when the report is ready. SAVE ANYTHING — save selections and links as notes in your workspace; boards are the same documents the Poly web app's Notes tab opens — create here and it is there; edit there and it updates here. Import a Pocket export and it lands as boards in your account. CALL NOTES — capture a meeting with explicit consent: transcript, digest, and Markdown export. Transcription runs on your device (open-source Whisper weights, fetched as data) or in the cloud — On-device only mode guarantees audio never leaves your machine. YOUR ACCOUNT — Poly Cube is a client of your existing Poly account. Sign in once with device pairing (your password is never entered in the extension); revoke the browser any time from your account's Devices settings. PRIVACY • Usage analytics are opt-in and off by default: twelve counter events (with closed reason enums), never page content, enforced by the server, pruned after 180 days by default. • On-device local search over your notes and saved call transcripts (opt-in): a one-time ~22 MB model download from huggingface.co — the file contains model weights (numbers), not code; all AI code ships inside the extension. Your notes and saved call transcripts used for local search, and your audio used for on-device transcription, are processed on this device and never transmitted. After the one-time download, it works offline. • Page text is sent to your account only when you invoke the assistant on that page. • Call audio is captured only when you start a capture. • No advertising trackers. No data sale. Requires a Poly account (poly.inc).
