go/policy-notifier What is it? Policy Notifier is an internal Chrome extension that provides timely reminders about our information security and privacy policy while respecting the user and not disrupting their workflow. An overview of what each extension permission is used for can be found in the permissions section. You can try it by visiting dropbox.com or go/fakeflashplayer after installing the extension. Sending Feedback You can send feedback at any time by pressing on the Policy Notifier icon in your browser and clicking "Send Feedback". Is this an orange/red team? No. But this is an excellent question! Thank you for caring about our security. Policy Notifier uses verified builds. The signing keys were removed from the Chrome Web Store in b/111806844 and are only stored in keystore. This ensures Policy Notifier can only be signed by code that is committed into google3. Limits on Notifications Notifications are limited to: 1 notification per day per user, and 1 notification per service per user per 30 days. The only exception are notifications for suspected malware. Most dogfooders report seeing a couple of notifications a month. This tool is intended to respect the user's workflow, please let us know if you are seeing too many notifications.
