PolarnikTTS
Overview
Voice-over for YouTube subtitles: translates them into your language and reads them with the TTS engine you choose (local or cloud).
PolarnikTTS turns YouTube subtitles into a voice-over, TV-style: the original audio is ducked and a synthesized narrator reads the subtitles in your language, in sync with the video. - Works ahead of the playhead: rebuilds sentences, translates them with context and synthesizes speech before it is due, so the narrator never lags. - Choice of TTS engine: Microsoft Edge neural voices, OpenAI, Google Gemini, ElevenLabs - or fully local on your own GPU (Chatterbox, XTTS-v2) with voice cloning from a 10-second sample. - Translation by YouTube or by an LLM (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, DeepL, local Ollama) that restores punctuation and natural word order. - In-player panel in YouTube style: on/off, engine, voice, rate, volume, ducking, offset, "slow the video down when the narrator falls behind". - Interface in 23 languages, voice-over in 47; voices follow the chosen language. Requires the free PolarnikTTS engine server (Windows/Linux/macOS, Python) - instructions and source: https://github.com/mrtipeq/PolarnikTTS. Author: MrTip (Tipson) - https://tipson.pl.
