Pointer

Lets any MCP agent drive your real Chrome tab, with a visible pointer you can follow.

Pointer lets an AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Codex, or any MCP client) work in your own Chrome tab, and draws every move on screen so you can follow along. Why use it • Your real browser. The agent uses pages you are already signed in to. No second profile, no headless browser, no logging in again. • You can watch. Before each click, a pointer glides to the target with a short label like "click · Sign up". • You stay where you are. The agent works in background tabs, grouped and named after the agent, and never pulls you away from your own tab. • You can stop it. Press Esc, or click in the agent's tab, and it stops and asks before continuing. • Real input. Clicks and typing are trusted browser input, so modern web apps respond as they do for a person. • Small token cost. The agent sees a short list of what is on screen, and each action reports only what changed. What an agent can do Open and switch tabs, read the page, find elements, click, type, press keys, scroll, take screenshots, answer alert/confirm dialogs, attach files you name, and read the tab's console and network requests for debugging. How it works Pointer has two parts: this extension and a small local program (the "hub") that your agent talks to. Install the hub with Node 18+: npm install -g @longvo2k/pointer pointer setup Then add it to your agent, for example in Claude Code: claude mcp add pointer -- pointer-mcp The toolbar badge shows "on" once the extension connects. Privacy • The extension talks only to the hub on your own computer (127.0.0.1). It has no servers, accounts, analytics or telemetry. • Page content goes only to the agent you connect, and from there to that agent's AI provider.
