Kanji Flashcard Exporter
Overview
Extract kanji from any webpage and export Anki-ready CSV flashcards using Claude AI
Kanji Flashcard Exporter uses Claude AI or OpenAI (using your own API token) to scan Japanese text on any webpage, generate hiragana readings and English translations for every kanji word found, and export a ready-to-import flashcard file — no copy-pasting, no manual lookup. Perfect for JLPT N5 to N1 learners who want to turn real content into study material without interrupting their reading flow. How it works - Visit any Japanese webpage — news, JLPT lists, Wikipedia, manga, anything - To scan a specific passage: highlight the text → right-click → "Scan selection for kanji" - To scan the whole page: click the 漢字 icon in your Chrome toolbar - Enter your Anthropic or OpenAI API key (one-time setup) - Choose how many words to scan (default: 50) - Hit Scan — AI generates readings in seconds - Export and start studying immediately Export formats 🃏 Anki CSV — import directly into Anki for spaced repetition 📚 Quizlet — tab-separated, paste and go 📊 Raw CSV — three columns (漢字, hiragana, English) for Excel or Google Sheets Your API key, your data Your key is stored only in your browser — never sent to any third party.
