Pocket Notes Sidebar
Overview
A clean Chrome side panel notebook with autosave, notebooks, Markdown shortcuts, context capture, search, delete, and TXT export.
Pocket Notes Sidebar is a lightweight notebook built into Chrome's side panel. It helps you keep quick notes beside the pages you are reading, without switching tabs or opening a separate app. Create notebooks, write notes, search your saved content, and capture selected webpage text from the right-click menu. Notes are saved automatically in Chrome storage, with optional Chrome sync for smaller note collections. Features: - Open a clean note-taking sidebar from the Chrome toolbar. - Create, rename, switch, and delete notebooks. - Write notes in plain text, Markdown-style formatting, or rich text mode. - Capture selected webpage text with a right-click menu action. - Save source page title and URL with clipped text. - Search notes in the active notebook. - Export individual notes as TXT files. - Export and restore a full JSON backup. - Optionally sync notes with Chrome sync. - Choose English, Simplified Chinese, or Japanese UI. - Pick from multiple color themes. - Use a keyboard shortcut to open the sidebar. Privacy: Pocket Notes Sidebar does not send your notes to an external server. Notes are stored locally in Chrome by default. If you enable sync, notes are stored using Chrome's built-in sync storage through your own Chrome account. The extension only captures webpage text when you explicitly select text and choose the context menu action.
