Overview
File too large to upload? Krisox shrinks PDFs and images to fit any size limit, right on the site. No re-uploading. 100% private.
PDF or photo too large to upload? Krisox shrinks it to the exact size the site allows (20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB or any size) right on the site, as you upload: job portals, Canvas, government and exam sites, email, anywhere with an upload button. No more compressing on another website, downloading the result and uploading it again. Choose a file the way you always do, and Krisox shows how small it can get before anything is sent. Works with JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC (iPhone photos) and PDF. YOUR FILES NEVER LEAVE YOUR DEVICE Krisox works inside your browser tab. Your files are never uploaded to Krisox or anyone else: the only upload is the one to the site you chose. That makes it fast, too: no waiting on a converter's servers, and compression works offline. HOW IT WORKS • Choose or drop a file on any site, as usual. • If the form states a size limit ("Max file size 50 KB", "between 20 KB and 50 KB"), Krisox reads it and gets your file under it at the best quality that fits. • Or type any size into "Fit under", or pick Extreme, Recommended or Light. You see the exact size of each, with thumbnails and a preview of exactly what will be uploaded. • Click Upload compressed, or Upload original to send the file untouched. WHAT IT DOES • Fit under any size: the highest quality that stays at or under the limit, never over it. If a file can't get that small, Krisox says so instead of uploading something the site will reject. • Photos and images (JPG, PNG, WebP): resized and re-encoded, with every size shown before you choose. • PDFs: scans and photos inside are recompressed and duplicate data removed. Text stays selectable, and signed PDFs are never changed. • Removes hidden data: camera location (GPS) from photos, and Adobe Illustrator's hidden editing copy from PDFs when you choose to. • Sites that only accept certain formats get the format they need, automatically. • Download a smaller copy instead of uploading, when that's all you need. • Turn Krisox off for any site with one click. FREE Compress one file at a time, on any site, as often as you like, including fitting it under the site's size limit. KRISOX EXTENSION PRO ($7 a month or $70 a year) • Convert between JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF as you upload. • Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG or PNG for sites that can't open them. • Turn PDFs into JPG or PNG for forms that only accept images: one image per page, or every page stacked into one image when the form takes a single file. • Compress many files at once, and upload them as one ZIP in the order you choose. • Activates in one click after checkout, renews by itself, and you manage it (cancel, card, invoices) from Krisox settings. ENTERPRISE ($5 per seat a month, minimum 5 seats) One company licence that IT pushes to every managed Chrome browser. Add or remove seats yourself; renewals reach every browser automatically. Without installing anything, the free tools on krisox.com compress and convert single files in your browser too.
