Learn a language from the pages you already read. Veksha brings translation, vocabulary practice, and focused lessons into your browser. Translate a word or passage in context, review useful vocabulary suggestions, and choose what you want to learn. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Translate selected text without leaving the page, or use the dedicated translation desk for longer passages and explanations. • Build your dictionary: review vocabulary suggestions, save words you choose, and explore example sentences and common expressions. • Practise with review cards and adaptive exercises that respond to your answers. • Create goal-based lessons: describe what you want to be able to do, optionally add a text or situation, and work through checkable steps. • Use Reading Coach to check a page against the words you know and prepare unfamiliar vocabulary before reading. • Start a Reading Session when you want to collect vocabulary from pages you deliberately study. • Study YouTube subtitles with translation, line repetition, questions, and vocabulary saved with video timestamps. • Translate text from a selected image or PDF area. • Listen to speech samples, use voice input, and record yourself for a speech self-check. This is not a pronunciation score. • Keep your vocabulary and learning progress available in the extension and the Veksha web app. LANGUAGES AND ACCESS Choose your native and learning languages separately. The interface is available in English, Russian, Thai, and Spanish. Feature availability and speech support vary by language. Some features and usage limits require a paid subscription. A Veksha account is required; Google sign-in is optional. YOU CONTROL PAGE ANALYSIS Selection translation starts with text you choose. Reading Coach analyzes page text while enabled. Reading Sessions collect vocabulary only while a session you started is active. You can stop sessions, switch off page tools, and block AI features on individual pages or sites. PERMISSIONS AND DATA Website access lets Veksha provide its tools on supported pages. Storage keeps your settings and sign-in information on your device. Tabs, active-tab access, and scripting support page tools and study windows; context menus provide translation actions; alarms and notifications support optional reminders. Content needed for the feature you request is sent to the Veksha service at api.veksha.app and relevant service providers. This can include selected or analyzed page text, subtitles, selected image crops, voice recordings, and learning data. OpenAI provides language processing, Google Cloud Vision may process selected image crops, and ElevenLabs provides speech processing through Veksha's speech service.
