Overview

Preview Zendesk AI agent tests as customers see them (Web Widget, SDKs, WhatsApp, Slack, email) and inspect a site's Web Widget.

Know exactly what your customers will see before you publish an AI agent, and see how the Zendesk Web Widget on a website is set up. Made for Zendesk. The preview requires a Zendesk subscription with AI agents (Advanced) and works in the AI agents dashboard of your own Zendesk account. The Web Widget inspector works on websites with the Zendesk messaging Web Widget, only on the sites you switch it on for. The Zendesk AI agents (Advanced) test widget shows replies in its own test layout. pluscloud AI Agent Preview turns that test widget into a faithful preview of the real customer experience: the Zendesk Web Widget and mobile SDKs, messaging apps, team chat and email. Every test tool keeps working, and everything you type or click still goes through the real test widget. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open an AI agent in the AI agents dashboard and start a test. 2. In the test widget's three-dots menu, choose "Show as Web Widget". 3. Switch channels, change settings, inspect messages or start a presentation from the toolbar next to the preview. On a website with the Zendesk Web Widget, click the extension icon and choose "Inspect this widget". WEB WIDGET, TRUE TO THE PIXEL • Your Web Widget from Admin Center: colors, title, avatar, launcher shape, corner radius, attachments and AI disclaimer • AI agent markup rendered as customers see it: markdown, images, link buttons, postbacks, quick replies, carousels and forms • Streaming text that grows the bubble word by word, and the messenger's typing indicator • "Sources" for generative replies; Help Center articles open in the in-widget article viewer when the real widget would open them there • One or several conversations, with the conversation list, as your Web Widget is set up • Webview buttons in a panel, with a clear note when a sign-in page can't work in a preview • All 44 documented customization options plus zIndex, cookies and behavior, with checks for values the widget would refuse and copy-ready embed code • Undocumented widget features to try: a pre-conversation screen with suggested prompts, and a hide button in the header • An "i" next to each setting shows a short animation of what it changes • Every language the Zendesk messenger ships, including right-to-left languages EVERY CHANNEL • The Zendesk SDKs for iOS and Android on an iPhone and a Pixel • Messaging and social apps in their own look on an iPhone, and RCS on a Pixel • Direct messages in a team chat desktop app • Email AI agents as a real email thread, in a window that matches your operating system • Channel limits applied and explained: button and list conversions, unsupported content, and channels that never send the welcome reply • Optional on-screen keyboard to see how much space it takes BUILT FOR TESTING • Locate the dialogue node, change session parameters, restart, and open or share the conversation log from the preview • Inspector per message: raw AI agent output, what the channel receives, warnings and channel notes • Conversation log: actions, API integration calls with response codes, parameters and variables, knowledge searches and procedures • Test sets: run the same customer messages after every change, with simple checks per message, and see which answers changed since the last run INSPECT A WEBSITE'S WEB WIDGET • Click the extension icon on a website with the Zendesk messaging Web Widget and switch the inspector on for that site • See how the widget is set up: account, brand, every public setting, and the zE commands the site runs • Checks for common problems: refused zE commands, widget warnings, low color contrast, ticket fields and tags the widget ignores, an expired sign-in token, a domain that isn't allowed, cookies switched off, a covered launcher, Help Center links that open in a new tab • The account's proactive campaigns and whether they match the page, what the widget sends to Zendesk, and the launcher's accessibility • Lab: apply every customization option to the real widget, only in your own browser, try embedded mode in a place you click on the page, and copy the code • Experimental tools: open a Help Center article, a ticket form or the contact form in the widget, prefill the message field and preview a proactive message; most come with code for your own website • The conversation as raw JSON, the widget's events and, when you're signed in to that Zendesk account, the AI agent, its conversation log and the ticket • Open the site's widget settings in the AI agent preview, to test your AI agent in the site's own design • An "AI Agent Inspector" panel in Chrome DevTools: a timeline of everything, AI agent response times, a zE console, the widget's state and a debug report to copy into a ticket BUILT FOR DEMOS • Presentation mode on a blank background, behind your own website, or on an image • Hides the website's own chat widgets, and any element you add with a CSS selector • Optional "preview, not live" warning bar and full-screen mode PRIVACY The preview and the inspector run in your browser: test conversations, AI agent content, customer data and what the inspector reads on a website stay there. When you activate the extension, you accept the terms of use and the privacy policy. To help you get started, pluscloud then sees who uses the extension and on which Zendesk plan, and sends you the occasional tip by email, which you can turn off at any time. The newsletter only comes if you opt in. For the inspector, pluscloud learns which Zendesk account it was used for, never the website's address. All details are in the privacy policy. REQUIREMENTS • For the preview: a Zendesk subscription with AI agents (Advanced) and access to the AI agents dashboard (the Client admin, Client editor or Client user role). Without it, the preview has nothing to show. • Admin access is recommended, so the preview can use your Web Widget design from Admin Center. • For the inspector: a website with the Zendesk messaging Web Widget (the Web Widget Classic isn't supported). Made for Zendesk by pluscloud, Zendesk Premier Partner. Zendesk is a trademark of Zendesk, Inc. This extension is not made or endorsed by Zendesk.
