Pluckdown turns the web page you are reading into clean Markdown, ready to paste into an AI assistant or a coding agent. Click the toolbar button or press Alt+Shift+G, and the text is on your clipboard with its title, source and date. There is no sign-up. You get the content without the clutter. Menus, ads, cookie banners and footers are removed, while tables and code blocks are kept. On an article you get the article; on a news front page you get the headlines with their links. You can also grab only your selection, one block you click, or an area you drag over. Documents in PDF format opened in the browser are read too, and so are video transcripts and discussion threads on supported sites. Because it runs in your own browser, it can read what is behind your login or on localhost. It is built to be safe to paste. Text that a site hides from readers is left out, so hidden instructions do not reach the model, and you are warned when the text looks written to instruct an assistant. Every capture says what was left out, and a completeness grade tells you when a paywall or a blocked site means something is missing. Before you copy, you see a token estimate and can switch sections off. Recipes add your own instruction after the content, such as "summarize" or "answer from this source only". The free plan has unlimited grabs, a history of your last 20 captures, 3 recipes and one small pack.
