Disclaimer: This app was created with the help of ChatGPT/Codex. If you don't like vibe coded things, then don't use it. I mainly created it because most other extensions either didn't do their job properly or locked basic features behind a paywall. Auto Refresh EXtra is a flexible automatic page refresher and website monitoring extension. Enable it on an individual tab, choose how often the page should refresh, and receive an alert when the page changes or selected text is found or missing. Features: • Fixed refresh intervals measured in seconds • Random refresh intervals with custom minimum and maximum times • Normal refresh and cache-bypassing hard refresh • Custom page check delay for websites that need extra loading time • Page-change detection • Case-insensitive text found and text missing detection • Captcha, security-check, and rate-limit detection • Continuous or single notification sounds • Multiple selectable sounds with one-click previews • Optional Windows notifications • Optional window focusing when something is detected • Visible on-page refresh countdown • Adjustable countdown size from 50% to 500% • Option to hide the on-page countdown• Automatic scroll-position restoration • Option to stop refreshing after interacting with the page • Option to prevent system sleep while refreshing • Customizable Chrome start and stop hotkey • Saved profiles for different websites and monitoring setups • Manual and automatic settings saving • List of all tabs with active refresh timers • Individual cancel button for every active timer • Modern dark interface with a purple accent color Auto Refresh EXtra was created from scratch as a Chrome Manifest V3 extension using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. It does not depend on an external framework or remote service. Profiles and settings are stored locally through Chrome’s extension storage. The extension runs only on tabs where you explicitly enable it. Each active tab keeps its own refresh timer and monitoring configuration. Please use reasonable refresh intervals. Refreshing websites too frequently may cause temporary rate limits, security checks, or captchas.
