Overview
Cluttersignal checks any email, text, link, or website for phishing and scams, so you know what to trust before you act.
Is this real? Ask before you click. That text from your "bank." The invoice with new payment details. The sign-in page that looks a little off. Scams are built to look legitimate. Cluttersignal gives you a second opinion before you reply, pay, or type a password, and tells you what it found and what to do next. WHAT IT DOES • Right in Gmail and Outlook on the web: a small scan tag on every message, and a "Scan this message" control above the email you're reading. One click checks the sender, the wording, where every link really goes, and the names of any attachments. The result stays on the message, so you don't check twice. • Check anything else, any time: open Cluttersignal from the toolbar, or keep it docked in the side panel, to check the email you're reading in from your web browser, paste a suspicious text or message, check a link before you open it, or check the page you're on. • A quiet badge for the site you're on, worked out on your device, with a clear warning when something looks wrong. • Every result gives one of four verdicts (No obvious threats, Caution, Suspicious, or Dangerous) with the reasons in plain words, what couldn't be checked, and one sensible next step. WHAT IT LOOKS FOR • Look-alike and misspelled brand domains: a swapped letter, an extra word, a familiar name on the wrong site • Links that go somewhere other than they claim, shortened links, and bare-IP links • Pressure and payment traps: urgent deadlines, changed bank details, requests for passwords or one-time codes • Attachment names that look like programs, macros, or archives • With cloud analysis switched on: live link reputation, how old the domain is, and an AI read of the whole message PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Checks run on your device unless you switch on cloud analysis — and you can switch it off again. • The on-device badge transmits nothing — it reads the page locally in your browser. • Content you explicitly ask us to check is analyzed to produce your verdict, then deleted — never stored, never sold, never used to train AI models. Results stay in your browser. • A link or page check sends the address and path (the query and fragment are stripped on your device) to Google Web Risk — used only for the check, never stored. SIGNAL PRO — 7-DAY FREE TRIAL • Cluttersignal requires a Clutterstrike account (16 or older) and a Signal Pro subscription. Without an active subscription or trial, the extension runs no checks. • New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, started at checkout. A card is required; after 7 days Signal Pro renews at the plan you chose — $4.99/month or $49.99/year — unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancel anytime from your account page. One trial per account. • Signal Pro includes on-device checks, optional cloud analysis you switch on, the full written report and Trust Score, and the website badge. Checks run when you ask; the extension doesn't scan your inbox automatically. • Signal Pro is also included with every paid Clutterstrike Workspace plan, which connects your Gmail or Outlook and checks every message as it arrives. GET STARTED IN A MINUTE 1. Add Cluttersignal to Chrome and pin it to your toolbar (puzzle-piece icon, then the pin). 2. Create your Clutterstrike account and start your 7-day free trial. 3. Open Gmail or Outlook. Every message now has a scan tag. Also available soon for Microsoft Edge and Firefox. Cluttersignal is a best-effort signal, not a guarantee. Automated checks can miss threats or misjudge safe content — always use your own judgment before acting.
