Overview
Take a break from endless browsing with analog horror effects. Customize websites, stage timings, effects and rest periods.
You opened the feed for a quick look. How long has it been? Analog Off helps you step away from selected websites with progressively unsettling analog horror effects. A few redacted characters turn into corrupted text, overlapping error windows and a distorted broadcast. After the final sequence, a rest screen shows the time left in your break. Features • Add X and other websites you choose • Customize stage start times, effect intensity, repeat intervals, text effect duration and break length • Combine time across selected websites and pause tracking in other tabs and apps • Keep accumulated time after refreshing or moving between selected websites • Close every simulated error window to temporarily restore the page • Preview each stage on a separate sample page • Pause the extension or reset the timer from its menu • Korean, English and Japanese support, with a manual language choice Includes analog horror visuals: old broadcast notices, damaged text and instructions that are contradicted in later transmissions. Signal audio is optional and off by default. Settings and accumulated time are stored locally in your browser. The extension checks character positions on the current page to display text effects, but does not send page content to an external server. Website access is requested for the sites you select. Works on regular http/https websites. Browser internal pages and extension stores are excluded.
