Overview
Alarms, OEE and live values of your PLCGateway servers in the toolbar, with desktop notifications for new alarms.
PLCGateway Monitor keeps the alarms and production figures of your plants in the browser toolbar, so you notice a problem on the shop floor in time, without keeping the SCADA open all day. It is the companion of PLCGateway, next-generation industrial software that connects PLCs and machines (PLCGateway Connect), turns their data into screens, alarms, reports and OEE (PLCGateway SCADA) and runs the operator panel on embedded hardware (PLCGateway Embedded). The extension works with your own PLCGateway servers; a PLCGateway installation is required. WHY INSTALL IT • See at a glance whether anything needs attention: the badge shows the unacknowledged alarms of all your plants, coloured by the highest priority. • Never miss a critical alarm: desktop notifications for new alarms, from critical only to all priorities. Critical alarms stay on screen until you dismiss them. • Act right away: acknowledge one alarm or all of them from the popup, or open the alarm list of that plant with one click. • Know how production is going: OEE, availability, performance and quality per machine for today, the last 8 hours or the last 24 hours. • Keep an eye on the values that matter to you: pin tags and watch them live, with unit and description. • Go straight to the right screen: open any SCADA screen or report in a new tab. • All your sites in one place: several plants, lines or test systems, switched in the popup. WHO IT IS FOR Production and maintenance managers, shift leaders, engineers on call and system integrators who look after one or many PLCGateway installations. WHAT YOU NEED • PLCGateway SCADA or PLCGateway Embedded for alarms, notifications, OEE and screens. • PLCGateway Connect for live values. • Network access from your computer to the PLCGateway server (local network, VPN or a secured internet address). HOW TO START 1. Click the extension icon and choose "Add server". 2. Enter a name and the server address, for example 192.168.1.20:8080 or https://scada.example.com. 3. Sign in with your PLCGateway user, or paste the API token from PLCGateway → Settings → API / MCP token. Chrome asks once for permission to reach that address. PRIVACY AND SECURITY • The extension talks only to the PLCGateway servers you add. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party services. • Access to a server is requested only when you add it, and only for that address. • Passwords are never stored. The extension keeps the session of your sign-in (the server ends it after 12 hours) or the API token you entered, in this browser only. • Your PLCGateway user rights apply: viewers can look, operators can also acknowledge alarms. LANGUAGES English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Turkish and Arabic. The extension follows the language of your browser. https://plcgateway.com All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners.
