Overview
Play any video file — no server, no upload, no limits.
Play any video file directly in Chrome — no server, no upload, no limits. playsvideo opens video files locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere. Your files stay on your device. When you open a file, playsvideo checks if Chrome can play it natively. If so, it plays directly with zero overhead. Otherwise, it remuxes the video into a playable format on the fly — all client-side using Web Workers and WebAssembly. Unsupported audio codecs are automatically transcoded to AAC.
