Playlist Lens: sort YouTube playlists by length and time
Overview
Fit videos into the time you have. Sort YouTube playlists by duration, hide watched videos, and see honest unwatched totals.
People save far more videos than they watch, and the playlist page only sorts by date added or popularity. Playlist Lens adds a small bar above any playlist on YouTube, including Watch Later and Liked videos, that answers one question: what can I watch in the time I have? Time budget: type how many minutes you have. Only the videos that fit stay visible, shortest first, with a running total such as "7 videos fit in 30 min". A video longer than your budget is left out, never cut short. Hide watched: hides videos already marked as watched (progress bar at 90% or more). Partly watched videos show the time they have left, and the budget counts that time. Runtime header: the video count, total runtime and unwatched runtime of the playlist. Load all: long playlists load 100 videos at a time. The bar says how many are loaded ("Loaded 100 of 312"), marks any sort that covers only part of the list, and Load all fetches the rest for you. The bar reorders and hides the page's own rows, so thumbnails, menus and links keep working. Reset puts the playlist back the way it was. Privacy: no account, no tracking and no network requests of its own. Your settings stay in your browser's local storage, the only permission it asks for. Free and open source.
